Radiation Biology

Radiation Biology is the study of the effects of ionizing radiation on people, plants, animals and ecosystems. It is a medical or life sciences-based discipline that seeks to understand the sequence of biological events that take place after exposure to radiation. It then uses that knowledge for the better treatment of cancer patients by radiation therapy, to treat accident victims and the more informed protection of people and the environment.
